So I was finally offered a job at a Primary School as an Admin type. They were in a major hurry for me to start we got the toddler signed up to nursery for two whole days and just over half a day much to her disgust. I started a fortnight after my interview, last Wednesday to be precise. I worked Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. We went to see a friend over the weekend. The baby also developed a cold. I’m 99% sure it’s a cold and not Covid-19 but as she’s coughing and had a bit of a temperature on Sunday our whole house is under lockdown initially for seven days, then after last night’s announcement for 14 days. And then they suggested that pregnant women self-isolate for 12 weeks. At least I think. I’m a bit confused about everything coming out.

I worked for 2.5 days and have had to let the school know I now need to work from home, I mean is this even possible for this job? I’m not entirely sure yet I’ve only worked there for 2.5 days. I feel so guilty as they were desperate for me to start. Then there’s the poor students (I’m a SCITT admin so an administrator for school based teacher trainer) will they even get to finish their course. I mean I assume schools are going to close at some point? Maybe? Who knows!?

So my aim of getting a job this year – big tick. Being able to actually do the job? Less certain…
